The Hidden Ones Release Date, Beta and Platforms
The schedule is simple but often reported badly: China gets the game in December 2026, after a limited, paid, wipe-on-close final test on November 4. There is no global date yet. This page separates confirmed facts from speculation and covers the platforms, cross-play rules and system requirements you can plan around.

China first, global later
The confirmed China release is December 2026. That is a month, not a day. It follows the final test on November 4, which is the last scheduled test before launch. If you see a precise December date, treat it as an estimate unless the publisher has announced it directly.
The global release is a different story. It is not announced: no date, no window, no regional launch order. A global release date remains Unconfirmed because the test data contains no global announcement, only the China schedule. This site will not print a guessed date and pass it off as news.
If you are outside China, the useful date is not a launch date. It is the point at which a global version, English client or regional store listing is officially confirmed. Until then, the China December 2026 window is the only fixed schedule.
The order matters because it changes what you can prepare for. You can plan a PC build and learn the systems now. You cannot book time off for a global launch, and you should not buy a China-region account on the promise of a date that does not exist. For the practical first-day route, the beginner's guide is more useful than another countdown.
The November 4 final test
The final test opens on November 4. Three labels define it, and each changes how you should treat your time: limited, paid, wipe-on-close.
- Limited means access is restricted rather than open to everyone. Do not assume that downloading the client guarantees a place.
- Paid means purchases are part of the test. The test data does not describe how those purchases are handled after the test ends, so any carry-over promise is Unconfirmed.
- Wipe-on-close means the test is for feedback and tuning, not for permanent progression. A wipe is not a soft reset with a small head start attached.
Assume that characters, gear, currencies and story progress earned in the test are temporary. If you pull a character or finish a build, record the settings and the route, not the account value. What you keep is knowledge: which character fits your hands, which boss gates your gear, and how the stamina economy feels. The combat system is the part most worth practicing under test conditions.
The 30 million pre-registration reward is a launch entitlement, not a final-test unlock. A wipe removes test progress; it does not cancel a launch reward that has been promised separately.
Platforms available at launch
The game is built for PC, iOS and Android. HarmonyOS has also been announced for China. The final test runs on the same core platforms, which is why the cross-play question comes up so often.
| Platform | Status | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| PC | Confirmed | Windows client used in the final test; supports custom combat frame rates. |
| iOS | Confirmed | iPhone support starts at A11-class hardware. |
| Android | Confirmed | Snapdragon and Dimensity devices are both supported. |
| HarmonyOS | Announced for China | Part of the China platform plan; not listed as a global launch platform. |
Nothing in the test data describes a console version, so do not plan around one. The practical choice is between a PC that can hold a stable high frame rate and a phone that can run the game without thermal throttling. The performance guide covers the exact specs and frame-rate options.
Cross-play, cross-save and account walls
During the final test, PC and mobile share data. That is cross-platform data sharing, not just matching players from different devices into the same fight. The final test confirms this; nothing on record confirms the same behavior at launch.
There is also a separate account wall inside the China ecosystem. QQ and WeChat players match together, but their data stays separate. In plain terms, matchmaking can cross the two login systems; your characters and progress cannot. If you are coordinating a group, agree on the login route before launch, because "we can play together" and "we share an account" are not the same claim.
Cross-save at launch outside China is Unconfirmed because the test data only records the final-test arrangement. If you plan to switch between PC and phone, verify it in the launch build before you make it your main account. The FAQ covers the rest of the platform and account questions in one place.
System requirements
The final-test specs are specific enough to use as a buying guide. The PC floor is modest by modern standards, but the recommended GPU is not: an RTX 2080 is a real target, not a luxury line item.
| Tier | CPU | GPU | RAM |
|---|---|---|---|
| Minimum | Intel Core i5-7500 | NVIDIA GTX 970 | 8 GB |
| Recommended | Intel Core i7-10700 | NVIDIA RTX 2080 | 16 GB |
| Platform | Tier | Device or chip |
|---|---|---|
| iOS | Minimum | iPhone 8 Plus (A11) |
| iOS | Recommended | iPhone 13 Pro (A15) |
| Android | Minimum | Snapdragon 730G / Dimensity 810 |
| Android | Recommended | Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 / Dimensity 8300 |
The mobile list is a device and chipset floor, not a promise of a smooth 60 fps. The test data does not give Android RAM or a storage requirement, so do not treat a number from a third-party spec sheet as official. On PC, a machine that meets the minimum can still struggle with the highest frame-rate setting; matching the recommended tier is the safer route to a stable fight.
The 30 million pre-registration reward
Pre-registrations passed 30 million across all platforms. The launch reward is Xia He plus the limited outfit Riding the Wind. It is described as a login reward at launch, not as a final-test unlock.
That gives you one confirmed character to try when the servers open, but it is not a roster list. Xia He is a rushdown character built around vision denial, so she is a different first pick from the starter trio. If you want to compare her with the launch starters, the character overview and the tier list are the right next stops.
Claim the reward on the launch account you intend to keep. Because the final test is wiped, a test login is not a launch account, and a test pull is not a pre-registration claim.
What to do before launch
Use the specs above, not a wish list. If your PC is near the minimum, decide now whether you will play at a lower frame rate or on mobile.
QQ and WeChat match together but keep separate data. Choose the login system your group will actually use.
Practice the stamina and parry rules in the final test if you have access. Do not grind for permanent progress.
At launch, claim the pre-registration reward, then follow a stamina plan instead of spending the whole bar on story missions.
If you are waiting for a global announcement, the useful preparation is boring: confirm your hardware, learn the terminology, and avoid paying for a region you cannot access. The glossary explains the Chinese terms you will see in guides and menus while you wait.
